AI accounting startup Rillet hits $1B valuation in 48 hours, 600 customers off Oracle and SAP

AI accounting startup Rillet reached a $1B valuation within 48 hours. Rather than a tool sitting next to the legacy stack, it replaces the accounting system itself — 600 customers have already migrated off NetSuite, Oracle, SAP and Workday.
The team laid out its architecture: the ERP becomes the harness where humans and agents share the same financial data, apply the same policies, and work from one continuously updated view. Three design decisions make it work:
- Data arrives structured: native integrations feed a real-time general ledger instead of dumping exports into spreadsheets;
- Agents work inside the ledger, not beside it — their words: "agents need more than access to data, they need to be in the general ledger itself";
- Every action carries an audit trail.
