video-use + coding agents for video editing: "one of the best AI tools I've ever used"

Developer jacobposel tried video-use + Codex for video editing and calls it mindblowingly good — one of the best AI tools he's used.
video-use (open source from the browser-use team, 21.4k GitHub stars) edits videos with coding agents like Claude Code: drop raw footage in a folder, chat, get final.mp4. It:
- Cuts filler words, false starts, and dead space between takes
- Auto color-grades every segment (warm cinematic, neutral, or custom ffmpeg chains)
- Applies 30ms audio fades at every cut to avoid pops
- Burns subtitles in customizable styles (2-word uppercase chunks by default)
- Generates animation overlays via HyperFrames, Remotion, Manim, or PIL in parallel sub-agents
- Self-evaluates rendered output at every cut boundary
- Persists session memory in project.md
