Pangram Labs Co-founder Max Spero has been named to Time magazine's 100 in AI list. The company specializes in detecting AI-generated text, claiming over 99.5% accuracy in internal tests. Founded in late 2023, Pangram nearly shut down before seeing a surge in demand due to AI slop. It secured a $9 million funding round in July and partnered with Substack. Spero stated the company will never release tools to humanize AI text.
