Robot Vision Latency Squeezed to 80ms p99 — Most Came From Dumb Things, Not Inference
REVOLVO_OCELOTS · x · 2026-08-27
yacineMTB shared that aggressive optimization brought his robot system's latency down to a p99 of 80ms, low enough to barely notice.
Key insight: most of the latency came from dumb engineering issues, not model inference. He still uses fast foundation stereo and plans to add mosquito-detection events next.
