yacine gets real-time stereo depth latency down to imperceptible levels
yacineMTB · x · 2026-08-27
yacineMTB shares his optimization work on real-time stereo depth generation with fast foundation stereo: after aggressively optimizing, latency is now low enough that he can barely perceive it. The key insight: most latency came from dumb engineering issues, not inference (the stuttering in the clip is just his recorder messing with the renderer). Next up: adding events for mosquito detection.
