Perplexity launched 'Computer', an agent platform designed for real work. It supports local execution (e.g., NVIDIA DGX Spark) and cloud environments (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Web, Slack, Teams, etc.). The company claims its on-device 27B model scores 82.6% on real knowledge work tasks, with the post-trained PPLX 27B reaching 85.4%, reportedly beating open-source harnesses Pi and Hermes.
