Hugging Face unveils Microduck: a $400 open-source bipedal robot for RL
yacineMTB · x · 2026-08-27
Hugging Face has introduced Microduck, the first truly accessible reinforcement learning robot. This 25 cm open-source biped is equipped with 15 actuators and packed with sensors (camera, LiDAR, etc.). It comes with over a dozen pre-trained policies for walking, sitting, roller-skating, and object manipulation, all for under $400. Users can train it themselves via RL or play with the simulator out of the box.
