NVIDIA has reportedly agreed to buy Hugging Face for $12.9 billion. Less than a year ago, Hugging Face turned down a $5B offer from Nvidia to preserve neutrality. If closed, Nvidia would own the central distribution hub for models, vastly expanding its influence beyond hardware.
