GitNexus: Open-source codebase knowledge graph for AI coding agents
Shruti_0810 · x · 2026-08-27
GitNexus is an open-source tool that provides a map of an entire codebase for AI coding agents. Instead of blindly searching files, it builds a real knowledge graph of functions, classes, imports, dependencies, and execution flows.
This allows agents to understand the upstream and downstream impact of changes before coding. It has crossed 45,000+ GitHub stars, runs locally, and works with agents like Claude Code via MCP. Benchmarks show a solve rate improvement from 37% to 68.4% on DeepSWE.
