Responding to the view that Nvidia profits represent an update to value created in the past, a counterargument states that while all product sales monetize past labor, the key issue is that one cannot measure GDP at $100B when that value hasn't actually been produced yet. Nvidia's work in 2023 may be excellent, but it does not justify prematurely or incorrectly accounting for economic output that has not occurred.
