Gergely mocks PR teams for pushing CTOs over actual developers for interviews
Vjeux · x · 2026-08-27
Gergely Orosz shared an experience where he tried to interview a developer at an interesting tech company. The developer sought approval from the Comms team, which took months, causing Gergely to move on. Later, the company's PR team asked if he wanted their CTO on the podcast instead. Gergely found it amusing that PR teams don't understand that some publications prefer talking to the people doing the actual work rather than executives with fancy titles who are layers above it.
