EU makes first use of AI Act enforcement powers, probing frontier devs

The European Commission has made its first use of AI Act enforcement powers, requesting information from frontier AI developers on cybersecurity, physical infrastructure protections, safety, and copyright compliance. Tech Commissioner Henna Virkkunen indicated the request relates to how developers are mitigating risks to prevent humans or AI from stealing the model.
