Anthropic is committing $45B over six years for 460MW of "Vera Rubin" compute at Nscale’s West Virginia campus. The contract equates to roughly $5.84 per available GPU-hour ($6.87 at 85% utilization), covering approximately 146,500 GPUs. The initial phase involves three buildings totaling 1.35GW of IT capacity, with the first coming online in late 2027. Estimated total capex is $71B, including $47B for GPUs and $17.9B/GW for physical infrastructure.
