Billionaire Stan Druckenmiller used the WSJ opinion pages to argue the US Treasury is suppressing borrowing costs, then told reporters AI wrote the piece and he isn't embarrassed. WSJ opinion editor Paul Gigot defended it as "a fact of modern life" and said the op-ed reflected genuine views. The FT recently disclosed AI condensed a Harvard professor's column, and some predict 90%+ of online written content will be AI-generated within five years.
