Anthropic launched three new beta features on the Claude Developer Platform to enhance agent capabilities:
- Tool Search: Allows Claude to discover tools dynamically without loading all definitions into context, saving tokens.
- Programmatic Tool Use: Enables calling tools via code for complex orchestration (loops, conditionals), reducing inference overhead.
- Tool Learning: Lets models learn correct usage patterns from examples rather than just JSON schemas.
These updates address context window limits and orchestration flexibility for agents working with large tool libraries.
