Meta^n Approach: Stable Recursive Self-Improvement via Fixed Operators
dair_ai · x · 2026-08-27
A new approach to recursive self-improvement called Meta^n is proposed. Unlike self-editing systems that risk instability, Meta^n keeps the meta-operator fixed and recurses on its input, reading solver stack traces and code to write the next layer. Depth is determined by convergence. Experiments show it outperforms prior methods on two backbones by avoiding destabilization and reasoning from a higher vantage point.
