Figure's Index: 43k weekly users feeding robot data, $15M paid, $1B committed

Figure CEO Brett Adcock announced Index, its robot data project: over 43,000 weekly active uploaders, 30 minutes of video uploaded per second, 16M uploads total, $15M paid out so far, and a commitment to spend $1B over the next 12 months on data and compute.
Adcock said Figure initially bought data from vendors but found it scarce and low-quality, so it built its own pipeline to train Helix, the AI model for its F.03 robots — framing this as the pretraining needed for large-scale robot generalization.
