Meta glasses privacy flaw: workers see private videos, users can't opt out

Reporters found that Ray-Ban Meta glasses send all interactions to Meta servers regardless of consent settings. Outsourced workers in Kenya can view intimate content, and blurring sometimes fails. Meta sold 7 million glasses in 2025; UK regulator wrote to Meta, and Meta ended Sama contract, leaving 1,108 jobless. Author argues consent is meaningless and risks should be on the box.
