Developer builds English-to-Claudish translator as AI coding agents shape language

With the rise of AI coding agents, a distinct dialect known as "Claudish" has emerged among developers using Claude. Yuntian Deng, an assistant professor at the University of Waterloo, launched an English-to-Claudish translator to document and decode this new language shaped by AI agents.
Taylor Lorenz notes that Claudish involves not just obscure vocabulary but warped sentence structures and logic, often unintelligible to native speakers. This phenomenon reflects a shift where humans are adapting to communicate with machines, not just other humans, in the era of agents.
