Altman Predicts Internal AGI System by Year's End

According to a TIME interview, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that while the company is 'not quite yet' at AGI, he expects to have an internal system by the end of the year that he would call AGI. OpenAI's charter defines AGI as highly autonomous systems that outperform humans at most economically valuable work. Researcher Mark Chen estimates they are 80% of the way there.
