Headlong: Open source Bash-based agent microharness with persistent agency
sull · x · 2026-08-27
Headlong is an open source agent microharness with a core of less than 10K lines of Bash. Its defining feature is persistent agency, allowing agents to think continuously and recursively invoke LLMs. Built around the Bash environment, it describes itself as "Of bash, by bash, for bash; it's shells all the way down."
