GenOS: open-source Rust-based multi-agent orchestrator asks Reddit for edge cases

MonokoEloba · reddit · 2026-08-26

A developer open-sourced GenOS, a multi-agent LLM orchestration framework built on isolated Rust execution environments with Git worktrees for state management and sandboxing. The core engine runs smoothly, and the author is soliciting harsh real-world cases to stress-test it.

Four categories of reproducible failure scenarios are requested: infinite loops and derailments, state/context handoff failures in agent swarms, workspace corruption (wrong files modified/deleted), and long workflows losing the original objective. Frustrations with LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI etc. are also welcome; the author will code the best cases into GenOS and report back on whether the Rust/Git architecture handles them better.
