Google Highlights AI Game Colony: Real-Time Inference for 3D Cosmetics

Google Cloud's gaming chief Jack Buser praised Parallel's survival game Colony at Gamescom Dev for showcasing "real-time AI inference" that lets players create 3D cosmetics instantly. Buser also noted that AI is used for agentic systems in-game, that he hasn't seen companies use AI to cut jobs, and that AI is almost universal in pre-production.
