Knowledge Compressor cuts doc tokens in half to save Agent context costs
mariorod1 · x · 2026-08-26
GitHub Next released the Knowledge Compressor prototype to explore reducing document token counts iteratively while maintaining usability for LLMs. Experiments show typical technical documentation can have tokens cut by half without substantially reducing usefulness. This saves context window space and lowers costs for AI Agents.
