New AI-enabled Dunning-Kruger effect convinces laypeople they equal experts

A new kind of AI-enabled Dunning-Kruger effect is emerging, where a little bit of knowledge and basic competence, paired with AI's abilities, can convince a layperson they are equivalent in skill to an expert. This previously existed with engineers and Google-fu but will likely get worse with AI.
