According to The Information, DeepSeek generated $70.7 million in revenue over seven months, roughly 10 times its total for the full year of 2025. The API business achieved a gross margin of 82.9%, with an overall company gross margin of 44.6%. High profitability is attributed to AI infrastructure optimization, which reduced chip requirements and inference costs. However, infrastructure spending was reportedly approximately 23 times its revenue.
