Claude Desktop now runs fully on local Ollama models via one toggle
ollama · x · 2026-08-26
By enabling the Ollama integration, Claude Desktop's Cowork and Claude Code features can run entirely on local models, ensuring zero data leaves the machine. Users can toggle it off to switch back to Anthropic's cloud models. This is particularly useful for privacy-sensitive workflows like Obsidian second-brain setups.
