Quotes in 6 Currencies, 5 Incoterms: Benchmark Forces Agents to Compute Real Landed Cost

alifcoder · x · 2026-08-26

A procurement task in CommerceAgentBench hides a pricing puzzle: quotes may differ in currency, Incoterms, surcharges, MOQs, payment terms, and lead times. The agent must normalize everything into a comparable per-unit landed cost, or the "cheapest" supplier on paper may not actually be cheapest. Making it messier, the same supplier may appear under different company names, different suppliers may share similar names or nearby addresses, and the newest-looking quote might have been quietly withdrawn later — so the agent must cross-check addresses, phone numbers, bank accounts, and quote revisions before deciding what is valid.
