OpenBB winds down as a company, open-sourcing entire product suite

Financial data platform OpenBB is announcing it is winding down as a company and committing to releasing its entire product suite—including Workspace, Copilot, Excel Add-in, and the Open Data Platform—under a permissive open-source license. The founder stated that while they couldn't build a sustainable business, the technology shouldn't disappear, allowing developers and institutions to continue using and building on the stack.
