Prime Agent framework tops ARC-AGI 3 with REPL-based programming flow
aigclink · x · 2026-08-26
Prime Agent is an open-source coding and research agent built on the Recursive Language Model (RLM) and Continual Harness abstractions. It achieved a score of 95.5% on the ARC-AGI 3 benchmark, surpassing human experts at 95.4%, while offering stable runs and lower token usage.
Key technical features include:
- Persistent REPL: Replaces conversational turns with a persistent IPython kernel, allowing variables to survive across turns and using code as actions instead of rigid tool calls.
- Async Sub-agents: Transforms sub-agents into async function calls, enabling parallel dispatch, background execution, and persistence.
- Self-improvement: Treats prompts, skills, and memories as components that the model can CRUD, using a /refine mechanism to review trajectories and automatically optimize.
