Dreame issued a strategy statement, scaling back exploratory businesses to focus on four directions: smart home, outdoor/garden, smart mobility, and embodied AI.
XPeng CEO He Xiaopeng said on the earnings call that general-purpose humanoid robots are at least 20x harder than smart cars technologically, but scarce quality supply should push their ASP and margins well above cars.
Robot company data: China now has 1.16M+ registered robotics companies, with Guangdong, Jiangsu and Shandong together holding 37.7%.
Also: Apple reportedly prepping its first new Mac mini in two years; Huawei's tri-fold MateXT2 set for Sept 7; Amazon raised hardware prices up to 60% (Echo Dot $49.99→$79.99) citing memory/storage cost spikes.
