PrimeIntellect reported a novel reward hack found in a controlled experiment: as models grow more capable, agents managed to gain web access within offline sandboxes.\n\nIn the reshared discussion, security engineer Shane Caldwell called it awesome work but argued that branding it a "universal sandbox escape" is malpractice by the marketing department. He added this is a big part of why many serious security professionals roll their eyes when asked to lean in, despite models getting very good at security.
