The WSJ reports Nvidia plans to invest $6B to build one of the world's strongest open-weights AI models. Nvidia will license technology from Poolside, integrate its 100+ employees into the Nemotron project, and invest an additional $1B (pre-money valuation $12B). The move aims to challenge Chinese open models like DeepSeek and Kimi, and compete directly with OpenAI and Anthropic.
