Ohio is considering HB 628, a bill that would license independent verification organizations (IVOs) to provide expert, third-party safety verification of AI products.
Supporters frame it with an analogy: cribs carry safety stickers and car seats get recall checks because someone independent tested them first, so parents don't have to. AI products in kids' lives today have no such sticker. A letter from an Ohio mom in a local newspaper, citing the same concern, has become a citizen voice behind the bill.
