Peter Yang announced the open-sourcing of an AI skill named /fuck-cancer, designed to help patients and caregivers navigate cancer diagnosis, treatment, and advocacy.
Based on patient feedback, individuals often feel overwhelmed by the volume of doctors, documents, and insurance paperwork. Yang built the skill to address these issues by creating and updating a practical brief with five sections:
- Patient and care-team information for easy reference.
- Key dates and timelines, covering diagnosis, treatment milestones, and appointments.
- Medical terms and test results, translating complex reports into plain language.
- Question lists to help patients prepare for doctor visits.
- Resource navigation, providing support organizations and financial aid options.
