OpenAI killed Agent Builder months after touting it as enterprise future

OpenAI announced Agent Builder as the future of enterprise AI agents in October 2025, but killed the product by June of the following year. Despite this shift, a surprising number of enterprise products continue to rely on this deprecated model, highlighting the rapid pace of change and the lag in industry adoption.
