Ex-OpenAI engineer quits: agents write ~all the code, coding isn't fun anymore

Ex-OpenAI engineer Kasra explains why he left — not because of OpenAI (he thinks it's underrated as a business), but because agents writing all the code made commercial software building unenjoyable: less human collaboration and a lonelier experience, constant context switching with no deep flow state, and the job becoming mostly code review and complexity reduction, which is draining. He notes this is just his experience and he's off to try making films.
