A leak reveals OpenAI's upcoming model 'Astra' (10T parameters) will use a new pre-train codenamed 'Doug'. Researchers are reportedly more excited about Astra than previous models. The prior 'Spud' pre-train powered the 5T 'Sol' model as well as Terra and Luna. Rumors also suggest SSI will announce a 'spooky' self-improving model soon.
