EricTopol · x · 2026-08-26
Research identified a specific gut bacterium consistently depleted in aging populations. In mice, oral monotherapy with this bacteria rescued intestinal homeostasis, mitigated multi-organ inflammaging, and enhanced cognitive-motor performance, extending healthspan. Related findings show low carbohydrate intake reduces this species.
