IBM releases Granite 4.2 open models focused on enterprise agentic AI workflows

IBM has released the Granite 4.2 family of open models, purpose-built for enterprise agentic AI. The new models feature native reasoning capabilities, enabling them to plan, reason, self-correct, and reliably use tools to help automate complex enterprise workflows. Notably, no benchmarks comparing it to other models were provided in the tweet, model card, or blog post.
