Claude memory now unified across chat and Cowork, fully user-editable
sean_t_strong · x · 2026-08-26
Anthropic's official blog announced that Claude's memory is now unified: the same memory works in both Claude chat and Claude Cowork, so context built up over months of conversations — project status, priorities, manager preferences — carries into Cowork's cloud tasks and back.
Users can view everything Claude remembers topic by topic, and edit or delete any item. Sensitive subjects like health and beliefs are excluded from memory by default but can be enabled in Memory settings.
