Paperclip indexes 170M patents to enhance AI agent scientific retrieval
james_y_zou · x · 2026-08-26
Paperclip has added 170M+ patent publications to its index, covering 75 jurisdictions, including 1.8M full-text drug patents and 30M compound annotations. This update bridges a critical gap, as many compounds are disclosed in patents years before appearing in papers. Agents can now leverage this data to map competitive landscapes and extract developability insights like aggregation rates and formulation fixes directly from patent descriptions.
