Nature study: LLMs reduce linguistic diversity and erase identity signals

A new paper in Nature Human Behaviour makes two key points. First, LLMs reduce the linguistic diversity of human expression. More profoundly, since words carry information about who we are, LLMs are also erasing the identity signals embedded in our writing, effectively stripping the soul out of it.
