OpenBB shuts down and open-sources everything after burning $6M over 5 years

Joseph Jacks of OSS Capital announced that OpenBB, the open-source finance analytics company, is shutting down, with everything the team built being open-sourced. He disclosed that over $6M of capital was written off across 5 years, but still views the journey as a success in learning and in its impact on open-source finance analytics and research tooling. Co-founder Didier Lopes also recapped what the team shipped alongside GitHub star growth.
