OpenAI's in-house inference chip reportedly rivals GB300, NVIDIA impact seen as limited

Regarding the market impact of OpenAI's in-house inference chip (codenamed Jalapeno, 2nd gen nearing tape-out, claiming better performance-per-watt than NVIDIA GB300, ready in 18 months), analysis suggests it won't hurt NVIDIA stock soon:
- Demand won't show for a while;
- Chip will be used exclusively by OpenAI at first;
- NVIDIA already acquired Groq and optimized for inference;
- Shortage of NVIDIA chips persists. Critics note this continues the tradition of "best on paper" compared to older GPUs.
