One Panorama to an Explorable 3D World: Matrix-3D Fills the Holes
mickmumpitz · x · 2026-08-25
The author shares an image-to-3D-world workflow built on Skywork's Matrix-3D, following up on his thread on turning images into explorable 3D worlds locally for free:
- Start from a 360° panorama, estimate depth and build a rough mesh;
- Moving a camera through it breaks instantly — anything the photo couldn't see is a hole;
- Wan 2.1 + Matrix fills those holes and invents unseen areas, yielding a walkable scene.
