More than 60% of malpractice carriers now build AI usage questions directly into renewal applications. Lawyers using AI without informing their carriers risk finding themselves without coverage exactly when they need it, as silence is not automatic coverage and often resolves against the policyholder. Policies written before 2023 rarely mention AI.
