Token Pooling Can Offset RAG Costs for Long Documents

Addressing claims that RAG is too expensive, the author clarifies that 32 tokens refers to the size after pooling. He achieved hpool@5 without degradation on BEIR. He argues that with proper tooling like token pooling, indexing is actually cheaper than common methods, even for 1k token documents.
