Apple's M6 chip introduces a neural engine in every GPU core for the first time. Peak AI compute performance increases by nearly 30% compared to M5 and over 8x compared to M1, aimed at accelerating LLM prompt processing. In the Mac mini, AI performance is up to 4x faster than the previous M4 generation.
