Anima Anandkumar's Accelerated Understanding trains 4D physics models with 1T context
AnimaAnandkumar · x · 2026-08-25
Anima Anandkumar's startup, Accelerated Understanding, is building large-scale AI models that simulate and understand physics to drive invention and discovery. These models understand the world directly in 4D (3D + time) and across physical phenomena, pushing context lengths to 1 Trillion tokens during training and exceeding 5 Trillion at inference. Anandkumar argues that while AI provides a haystack of ideas, the bottleneck for innovation is now testing them; physics-simulating AI aims to solve this directly, unlike video models that take shortcuts.
